Raw food”purists” clearly advise: consume a food only if it grows in the ground. What about foods such as fortified granola breakfast flakes, is not that healthy enough to begin the day? Do flakes grow from the floor? You get the point!

Though these foods are promoted as beneficial, allegedly super-charged with additional, nutritionally-packed nutritional supplements, they’re so far removed from what our bodies can recognize as”real” food. Processed foods are easy to prepare and consume”on-the-go” which neatly fits into the time constraints of our extremely busy lifestyle.

Scientific research on nutrition is discovering that individuals who consume a traditional processed diet high in animal protein have a tendency to suffer from more chronic, inflammatory conditions and ailments compared to those who eat raw, plant-based diets.
